The Fête de la Mer in Mimizan takes place every year on the 1st of May. On the programme: nautical parade, flower parade with floats in the streets of Mimizan-Plage, bandas, blessing of the sea, but also garage sales, kites and pony rides. A festive day not to be missed!

BAYONNE FESTIVAL - in the Basque Country
The Bayonne Festivals begin on the Wednesday before the first weekend in August and end on the following Sunday. It is the 5th largest popular gathering in the world. On the programme: pelota, music and dance, bullfights, cow races, float parades, bandas, corso, toros de fuego, fireworks, concerts, children's games. Don't forget to come dressed in white and tie a red scarf around your neck to become a real festayre!

LACANAU PRO - in Gironde
The Lacanau Pro is a major surfing competition that takes place every year in Lacanau in August. The event was pioneered as the first competition of its kind in Europe. Today, the Lacanau Pro is a French stage of the World Surf League qualifying circuit. The surfing event not to be missed!

FERIAS DE DAX - in the Landes
The Ferias de Dax bring together more than 800,000 people every year in August. Bullfighting aficionados flock to attend the festivities: bullfights, rejón, novilladas, cow races and bullring games, Landes folklore shows with stilt walkers, musical entertainment, estanquets for culinary breaks, initiations to traditional dances and bodegas until the end of the night...

LATINOSSEGOR - Hossegor in the Landes
At the end of August, Latinossegor takes up residence in Hossegor for a summer meeting on the theme of salsa and Latina dance. On the programme: daytime and evening concerts, music workshops in the town, dance classes, bodegas and estanquets on the Place des Landais to savour Landes specialities and drink to the sound of Cuban music.
