SHUTTLE SERVICE TO THE BEACH
2.5KM FROM LOU PIGNADA CAMPSITE

Would you like to enjoy the beach and its summer activities by going there quickly and easily? The campsite provides a free shuttle bus with 8 places to take you to the beach of Messanges Nord and bring you back to the campsite after your swim. This shuttle remains active every day from the 1st of July, except on Saturdays. Please also note that this transport is not available on rainy days.

🕓 Schedule : departures are from the campsite reception, every 20 minutes from 11am to 1pm. Returns are every 20 minutes from 3.30 pm to 7 pm.

The 5-star Lou Pignada campsite is close to the Landes beaches. With more than 100 kilometres of coastline, you’re bound to find a beach that suits you during your camping holiday in the Landes.

The ideal location of Lou Pignada allows you to reach the sand and salty water in the blink of an eye. In only 10 minutes by bike, on secure cycle tracks such as the Vélodyssée, you can safely reach the perfect waves of the Atlantic Ocean through the pine trees of the Landes forest.

Here, the ocean is as sacred as the forest. Locals and tourists alike are involved in caring for and preserving this fragile environment. Thus, several measures have been put in place by the communes and the region, in addition to citizen initiatives to make this precious environment even more beautiful.

During the summer, beach huts offer surfing lessons for the more sporty or aperitifs with your feet in the sand and your eyes on the sunset. To discover the other beaches of the Landes: you can also use the beach bus, the Yégo, which is completely free. This public transport service is available every day (Monday to Sunday inclusive) in July and August and will take you to the beaches of Labenne, Hossegor, Capbreton, Seignosse, Vieux-Boucau and Moliets.

Safety is taken very seriously in the Landes. While the ocean is a treasure, it can also be dangerous for novices or if certain rules are not followed. To avoid any problems as tourist numbers rise, safety posts have been set up on most beaches and bathing areas are designated by lifeguards during the summer months.

To preserve the wild fauna and flora of the Landes, it is important to respect the signage and information signs scattered around sensitive areas. For example, it is forbidden to walk on the dunes, pick plants in the sand or build campfires on the edge of the forest. On beaches, it is also important to respect the flags indicating whether or not bathing is permitted.
