Monday: the Moliets designer market

An eagerly-awaited event for Moliets residents and tourists alike, the artisans' and designers' market returns every Monday throughout the summer. It's the perfect opportunity to find the souvenir that will make your summer. Nearly twenty craftspeople from the Landes region will be exhibiting their creations, including ceramics, woodcarving, jewellery and decorative objects. All the items on display are made by the artisans themselves. You're sure to find a souvenir to bring back from your stay in Moliets, or a gift to give yourself or a loved one.

- When can you visit? From 15 June to 15 September, every Monday evening from 6pm to 10pm. Where? Place de la Bastide, 40660 Moliets-et-Maâ.

Tuesday: Basque-Landesque evenings in Moliets

As part of the Basque-Landes evenings on Tuesday evenings, a small traditional market brings together a small number of producers, craftspeople and designers from the Landes region. They all showcase local crafts and produce. From 7.30pm, there's a country-style meal on site, with grilled meats, taloas (corn cakes with lots of filling) and a refreshment bar. The evening will be followed by a Basque pelota show at 9pm. Tourist Office bookings: 05 58 48 56 58.

- When is the event? From 23 July to 20 August, every Thursday from 6pm. Where? Place du village, 40660 Moliets-et-Maâ.

Friday: the Moliets-plage night market

On Fridays, another night market takes place in the Place de Moliets. No fewer than 60 stallholders from all walks of life unpack their stalls in the town centre. Costume jewellery, bags, clothes, leather goods, Landes pine-scented candles and other summer must-haves are all on display at the Moliets stalls. The market is very lively and colourful, with the aisles teeming with people. If you haven't already done so, this is another chance to bring home a little holiday souvenir, a bracelet, a little summer dress or an elegant beach bag.

- When is the event? Friday evenings from 7pm to 11.30pm, from July to the end of August. Where? Place de la Bastide, Rue du Marché, 40660 Moliets-et-Maâ.
