An exotic getaway in the heart of the Landes forest
Just 40 minutes by car from the campsite, a change of scenery is guaranteed! In the middle of cork oaks, maritime pines, eucalyptus and arbutus trees, the Landes zoological park has more than 200 animals representing 60 different species from all over the world.
Although the zoo does not have lions, elephants or giraffes, it does have some unusual animals such as the Mandora Ibis and the White-faced Ibis. It is home to one of the largest collections of cranes in France, including some species that are rarely (if ever) found in a zoo, such as the Siberian crane and the Brolga crane. Among the most popular residents of Labenne Zoo, the makis catta are the park's mascots. It must be said that with their big eyes, they are particularly endearing. But that's not all! Along the way, you will also have the opportunity to observe zebras, kangaroos, dromedaries, alpacas, Patagonian hares, raccoons and white wallabies, to name but a few. We won't tell you more, we prefer to leave you the surprise of discovering all this little world by yourself! The walk is lined with explanatory panels that will allow you to learn more about the different species and their way of life. If you plan to spend the whole day at the zoo, you will find small shaded areas for picnics, as well as a playground for children.
The mini-farm: the little campers will love it!
Your children will be as happy as can be! They can get to know the farm animals: dwarf goats, Ouessant Sheep, donkeys, rabbits and Peking Bantams can be approached without fear. Children can pet them and give popcorn to the greediest of them! Great holiday memories in the Landes!

Camping holidays are always an opportunity to meet new people. At Labenne zoo, it's with the wolves that you have an appointment! The park welcomes a small pack of 5 Canadian wolves all year round. An unforgettable face to face encounter!

During the Easter and summer holidays, many fun and educational activities are offered to visitors, young and old. You will be able to discover the zoo's backstage area and the job of a keeper.
